Gloss or matte PPF? And how colour change works

Three finishes from the same family, each with its own look and aftercare. Here is what helps you choose.

Gloss: keeping the original look

Gloss PPF is a clear film that preserves the original paint shine and often makes the finish look deeper.

It is the usual choice for protection without changing how the car looks.

Matte: changing how the surface feels

A matte film gives a non-reflective surface, visibly changing the car's appearance while the original paint stays underneath.

Aftercare differs: matte surfaces need products made for that finish and cannot be treated like gloss.

Colour change: a new colour from the film

With colour change, the colour comes from the film itself and the original paint is preserved beneath it, so returning to the original colour later remains possible.

Available colours and finishes are confirmed at the time of booking, and changing a vehicle's colour may involve regulatory requirements for updating vehicle records.

How we decide with you

We start by inspecting the paint, then discuss the look you want, the aftercare you are happy to commit to, and the right coverage.

After that we prepare a clear quote covering only what was agreed.
